Michael Garcia Covarrubias is a Police Officer with the City of Mount Pleasant. Covarrubias is a graduate of the Northeastern Michigan Police Academy, Military Special Operations School , U.S. Army Military Police Academy, Drug Abuse Resistance Education Instructor Program, Maryland State Police. Covarrubias is a Accident Re-constructionist investigating fatal car crashes. Covarrubias has been speaking to students across the United States for over 14 years. Covarrubias is former member of the School Violence Task Force of Isabella County that developed the model for response in the event of a critical incident. He has been a guest speaker at Fort Meade, Maryland, Fort Huachuca. Arizona, Delta College, Saginaw Valley State University and Central Michigan University. His goals is to help students make the right choices, develop leadership skills and develop the passion to pursue their dreams.
