Lets join World Champion Taxidermist, Jim Hicks on
a fly in Alaskan Doll Sheep hunt.
In 2008 Dan and Char Catlin took a trip to Canada on a moose hunt. They didn't bag a moose but they had a great time. Take a minute and see some of the beautiful country and some of the laughs they had on the trip. We also did a little camera trick to have some fun with our friends to the north.
It
Has Begun!
After five outings with the chips down I was able to
connect on a nice Tom. I must say that it would of
probably not happen without the help of Tyler Foraker
and Brian Wood. Brian made some observations from the
previous day and made some adjustments to our strategy.
At first light we heard some turkeys responding to our
calls and within the first half hour of the hunt we had
a Tom on a dead run to our decoys. Tyler was the
shooter since I blew the shot I had the day before.
Well the Turkey Gods were blessing us when Tyler
whispered," there are two." With some delicate
maneuvering I was able to get my gun out of the blind.
When Tyler pulled the trigger I was able to shoot the
second Tom that trailed the monster bird Tyler
harvested. It was a great hunt and a memory that I
won't forget. Congratulations Tyler on your first bird
and welcome to the Brotherhood!
